As of March 2nd, 2008 the RSI Community is live on the Web, dedicated to the idea that the Racing Safety Institute can effectively communicate safety equipment performance data to racers and sanctioning bodies.
The RSI Community hopes to grow to become your place to stay current on auto racing safety issues, technology, and the effort to create an organization to help racers and motor sports sanctioning bodies make smart decisions about safety. The Racing Safety Institute (RSI) represents a new idea in documenting and communicating safety equipment performance specifications, and the RSI Community is a new way of steering RSI - applying the concept of a development community, similar to those responsible for creating open source computer software. RSI has not changed yet, but under the direction of the community, it will go where members believe it should. |
